10 Filipino Seafarers Safe After Houthi Attack

 Ten Filipino seafarers are reported safe after a Houthi attack on their vessel in the Gulf of Aden earlier this week. While the attack tragically resulted in the deaths of two other crew members, the remaining Filipinos have been confirmed unharmed.

Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) officials have been in contact with the crew and confirmed their wellbeing through a video call. The seafarers are currently secured in a hotel in Djibouti.

The Philippine government expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and pledged full support.
